It has been another absolutely wonderful and fun-filled month here at Arohanui! I’ve been right in the middle of all the action, keeping busy and making the most of every single day. Back at the centre, I’ve been keeping active and having a laugh tackling some awesome obstacle courses. I also really loved our latest sensory session, which was so upbeat and cheerful. We got to watch beautiful hot air balloons floating across the big screen while jamming out to some fantastic Hi-5 music, it was impossible not to smile! Getting out and about in the community has been another major highlight for me. We took a trip to the Gordon Carmichael Reserve for some magical outdoor fun. I had the best time chasing giant bubbles, listening to some nice music, and soaking up the lovely, warm sunshine. I also really enjoyed going for a beautiful walk through Yatton Park, taking in all the fresh air and stunning scenery. June Updates

  It has been an incredibly fun and busy month here at Arohanui, filled with anticipation and creative energy as we geared up for our highly anticipated Masquerade Ball. The weeks leading up to the big event were a whirlwind of preparation, and I loved getting hands-on with all the details. I spent time helping craft some of the unique masks. We’ve baked batches of special cupcakes, and strung up fairy lights to make sure the venue looked absolutely magical. When the big day finally arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, and all of that hard work truly paid off. The ball itself was a spectacular, unforgettable day where everyone dressed to impress. The women looked absolutely stunning in their pretty ball gowns, and the men looked exceptionally sharp in their suits and ties. We were lucky to have a brilliant DJ named Mark, who brought fantastic energy. One of the highlights of the night was the arrival of two mystery guests; we all had a wonderful time trying to guess...

Month of May!

  What a busy and wonderful month it has been at Arohanui! Even though the weather is getting a bit cooler and gloomier, it certainly hasn't dampened my spirits. I’ve been having an absolute blast and making the most of every single day. Around the centre, I’ve been putting my green thumb to use and acting as a superstar helper in the gardens. Whenever the weather allows, you can find me outside sweeping and tidying up the herb garden to keep it looking its best. On the chiller days, my imagination took flight during our sensory sessions. We actually "traveled the world" without ever leaving the room! I absolutely loved exploring and learning all about different countries and cultures. Girls' Group has been another major highlight for me this month. It is always the perfect excuse to sit back, chill with the girls, and enjoy some ultimate pampering. Sonic - Kangaroo

  I enjoyed the movie “Kangaroo” at Sonic  theatre today. The movie was funny and based on a true story of a man who started up a kangaroo sanctuary in AliceSprings. It was great to see my  Friends from the other centers. DG
